SUNDAY SCHOOL MINISTRY

Donald and Phoebe Smith and family are providing transportation to and from the church for those in our community needing a ride. Pick up is prior to the 10:00 AM Sunday School Service and they return after the 11:00 AM worship service. Call them at 368-3323.

MISSION OPPORTUNITY

There is a box in the Fellowship Hall for the collection of items for "Operation Gratitude" which is an effort to send care packages to service members overseas. Specific info is available beside the box or ask Emily Austin.

NURSERY HELP NEEDED

Occasionally there is a need for volunteers to assist Diane in the nursery. This depends on the number and ages of the children. If you would like to help by "being available" for duty, please see Bobbie or Dustin.

KROGER CARDS

The WSG is asking that the church family join them in the purchase of Kroger Cards. These cards are purchased for an initial amount and then you may "recharge" them for any amount you choose. They can be used to purchase any item sold at Kroger (groceries, gas, pharmacy items, etc.) The WSG will receive a portion of the value of each card. Please see a member of the group if you are interested.

Wednesday, April 23rd. - May 2nd.     2008 GENERAL CONFERENCE

The 2008 Convention convenes on April 23 at the Convention Center in Fort Worth, Texas. Delegates will approve plans and budgets for church-wide programs for the next 4 years and elect members of the Judical Council and the University Senate. In order to save money, the Conference will last 10 days instead of the customary 12. However, despite falling revenues, they are proposing an increased budget of $642 million. The theme is "A Future With Hope."
