Welcome to the "Cyber Circuit
Rider"
Welcome to he College Grove Methodist Church on the
information highway. Take a little time, browse around
and get to know us and our historical home. Click on the pictures to enlarge the images.
The purpose of the Cyber Circuit Rider is to let you
know that there is a church that is proud of the foundation our
forefathers built based on caring and service to all. They excelled
in spreading the good news of God's love to all mankind.
The present is blessed with a group of dedicated Christians carrying on the traditions passed down from those before. There are new traditions being built to be passed on to the next generation.
The greatest of these remains spreading the good news of God's love.
If you desire to "get back" into a relationship with His church,
come to our house of healing: we offer a"hospital for sinners, not
a rest home for saints!"
Mosquito Nets For Africa
The children's Sunday School classes are on a mission to provide as many mosquito nets as possible for the Nothing But Nets program for children In Africa. The nets provide protection from Malaria laden mosquetos which cause one death every 30 seconds. Every $10.00 will provide 2 nets. Donations may be placed in the offering marked "NETS." In addition, our "Change the World" offering for April and may will go to this fund.
Church Photo Directory
We are planning on producing a new photo directory of our church families. Photographs will be made on May 11th and May 18th. Please try to have your family group together on at least one of those days. We want everyone to be included!!
Children's Worship
"Laying the Foundation For God's Future"
Vickie Gibson is now leading a Children's Worship Service designed for, but not limited to, children ages 9 and younger. The children accompany her from the sanctuary following the Children's Time during both services. The children are taught the elements of worship and a parallel lesson to the day's sermon. It is also planned to train a child to serve as an acolyte.
The Little Church That Could!!
"Preserving Our Past While
Preparing For God's Future"
The end is in sight!! Progress continues on our new Fellowship Hall! Drywall has been installed and painting is underway!!
Marjorie Pitts and Bob Collins have joined the Team to help plan and design our kitchen facilities. You may keep up with our debt free project by viewing our
Construction Page.
We continue to be debt free, but we urgently need more money to complete the kitchen and put the final touches on Phase II. Please be in prayer and give as you are able. Do not forget to specifically designate your offering to "The Building Fund."
The sanctuary and the Estell Covington classroom have undergone a face lift in the form of new paint and plaster repair! In addition to a fresh coat of outside paint, our historic building has new energy effecient windows in the rear!
Please Note: Due to the design of our new septic system, there will be NO Parking or activities anywhere on the south side lawn.
